Wow. Just wow. That is a he!! of a shot to make once, but TWICE?
Was the previous record shot taken in Afghanistan by a Canadian sniper? I saw something about that shot on the History Channel. The thing that got to me was that he took 4 shots to hit his target. Given his range it was impressive but I didn't think it was in the same class as some of Hathcock's shots or the sniper in Iraq they talked about.
Man oh man. Reach out and touch someone...

Yes, the previous record holder was the Canadian who was highlighted on History Channel.
GySgt. Carlos Hathcock's story is told in the book Marine Sniper: 93 Confirmed Kills by Charles Henderson. Gunny Hathcock was also a National champ and an inspiration to many future marksmen.

Man I gotta get the AR out to the range soon!!!
Great shooting...
Peace...
You can give peace a chance alright..
I'll seek cover in case it goes badly..
Used a 50 cal , Barrett, with mil dot scope , he had a and spotter ,set site 4 dots up, and 4 dot lead .. hit as they were moving . There were 3 of the insergants , and only one was carrying an open weapon. Beleive it was a RPK, but it was a remarkable shot , as the first 3 rounds fell short , but on line .
A57's post described the Canadian's shot.
