The media has been silent on this incident and some law enforcement in the area says that they are furious that the media is not reporting the whole story of the continued violence along the border. Funny, but I have heard of this from several different sources, and every one of the links is non-functioning.

Maybe this is where the rumor got started. Nuevo Laredo is a Mexican town and the ranches being "taken" over was supposed to have happened just north of Laredo, TX. Since the Laredo police know nothing of a takeover I think I'll hold off on believing this.
