Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I don't really want to get into deep detail regarding my beliefs here, at least not at the moment. But you obvoiusly have a caring and loving heart.

Maybe at a future time I'll continue a public discussion with you on this topic.

I think the whole thing is kinda goofy. Religion, I mean. I served my country for 23 years. I have 2 grown children who are great citizens who have become amazing young adults. One is serving in the Air Force, the other is an Air Force Wife. I have been married to the greatest woman in the world for 25+ years. I give to charity, I always have a kind word or deed for a stranger (unitl they deserve otherwise). I say please and thank you and I mean it. I ALWAYS hold my ladies door open. I admire law enforcement / fire department and realize they are doing a thankless job with the best of intentions for the people they have sworn to serve and protect.

When someone, either a person or a book, tells me I will not go to "Heaven" if I am not "reborn" I have to take pause. Well dig this: I was already born. I don't need to be "REBORN". My mom went through that nutroll 46 years ago. I am a good person, with a good family and that is ALL that matters. If I cannot go to heaven because of some BOLOGNA, then SO BE IT. Their loss not mine.......

That being said. I DESPISE the leftist, Marxist, Communist, Socialist elite in this country who will belittle people of faith. I do not particiapte in religion, both of my children are DEVOUT Christians and they chose for themselves. We allowed them to be exposed and they felt it was a fine path to follow. I love them for it. I would never disparage them for their choice. SO I CANNOT DISPARAGE others for it.

Great write up Tanker and you should be proud of yourself and your family. It's not easy raising kids with society pulling at them in so many ways, sounds like you and your wife did a fine job..

Welcome to Free Will, the greatest gift God ever gave to us (short of his Son), and something He does not violate.. God does not force himself on anyone and leaves the choice to each individual to decide..

I will say three things
1)Thank You for your service and the service of those in your family!!!

2) Billy Graham and Mother Theresa were good people, and each of them chose that it was NOT enough to mend the Gap between God and them.

3) IF Christianity is true... AND your children have chosen to be Christians, then your decision would mean that they would spend eternity (that's a LOT longer than this life!) without their great father being with them... I'm sure your children have talked with you about this, or at least it weighs heavy on them..
So the Loss will be yours (as you say) but also your families...
