I was up there a few months ago to check it out.
They will hire a class A driver pretty much on the spot.
Many other jobs are also available. I tried to get my kid to stay. It would have been good for him.
What they don't tell you is the lack of housing. EVERYTHING is taken. So the company's have built man camps. Small housing units lined up in groups. If you have a motor home or camper that can handle serious cold temps in the winter. Bring it.
There is opportunity for the single guy willing to work long hrs and be away from home. The work force is growing faster then the rest of the town.
It wasn't for me personally, I have a good thing going. But my son should have stayed and made a go of it.

The McDonald's in Williston is one of the busiest in the country, and they need to pay $15 an hour just to attract employees to work there.

That is insane! Great, especially if cost of living remains fairly low (lack of housing aside,) but still insane. $15/hr for McDonald's!?!

Thumbs up Homeless, Go to the Y.M.C.A.

Young man, there's no need to feel down.
I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground.
I said, young man, 'cause you're in a new town
There's no need to be unhappy.

Young man, there's a place you can go.
I said, young man, when you're short on your dough.
You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time.

It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.
It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.

They have everything that you need to enjoy,
You can hang out with all the boys ...

It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.
It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.

You can get yourself clean, you can have a good meal
You can do whatever you feel ...

Young man, are you listening to me?
I said, young man, what do you want to be?
I said, young man, you can make real your dreams.
But you've got to know this one thing!

No man does it all by himself.
I said, young man, put your pride on the shelf,
And just go there, to the Y.M.C.A.
I'm sure they can help you today.

Young man, I was once in your shoes.
I said, I was down and out with the blues.
I felt no man cared if I were alive.
I felt the whole world was so jive ...

That's when someone came up to me,
And said, young man, take a walk up the street.
    It's a place there called the Y.M.C.A.
They can start you back on your way.

I was offered a job in southwest N.D. last year, had to turn it down because of the housing situation. Yes, if i had a camper or truck camper chances were pretty good that i would have gone. Hell, I am still looking for better pay right now, preferably east of mississippi river.
