will there be cats bathing each other?
I used to support the HSUS until I started reading and following HumaneWatch.org (HumaneWatch). Now, I support animal rescue groups and local shelters directly.

I got my first Rottweiler here in the USA from the Humane Society. 8 months later he died...and so did nearly our wallet. We will never get another animal from the Humane Society. As for PETA, what a peettah that they have to resort to this kind of tactics. Is someone actually thinking over there?

PETA is an organization that thrives on publicity. They are almost completely ineffective and their goals are to ELIMINATE human/animal interaction altogether. No pets, no farm animals, no meat, nothing. PETA is seeking a final goal that no sane person could support. It would mean abandoning any human intervention in animal habitat, breeding, conservation, etc..
The Humane Society of the United States(HSUS) is another organization that popped up in the relatively recent times to take advantage of name confusion. The HSUS is not the same group as the Humane Societies across the country that run most of the shelters. They relied upon the name confusion to gather support and funds. Those funds that would have gone to support shelters and save lives were instead spend by the HSUS on lobbying and other political pursuits.
PETA is a political movement that raises money by acting like a clown putting on a show for attention. They are maniacal and murderous liars.
The HSUS is a political movement that raises money by confusing people using a name that sounds familiar. They do not care about the animals. All they care about is their influence in politics.
If you want to help animals, research and support your local Humane Society if they're doing a good job. Never support the HSUS, and certainly not PETA.
