Well, for me it's Happy Hanukkah, but if you happen not to be Jewish don't be too sad, enjoy the Happy Holidays.

Man, I always wanted to be Jewish when I was a kid. My Jewish friends got a gift every day of Hanukkah. They all had all those big buffets when the had their Bar Mitzvas. What a party !

    Happy Hanukkah Yolk. :)

Default CHRISTMAS 2011 old but seasonal

KK...is this why you wanted to be Jewish??? Read below:

The teacher asked young Patrick Murphy: "What do you do at Christmas time?

Patrick addressed the class: "Well Ms. Jones, me and my twelve brothers and sisters go to midnight mass and we sing hymns; then we come home very late and we put mince pies by the back door and hang up our stockings. Then all excited, we go to bed and wait for Father Christmas to come with all our toys.

"Very nice Patrick," she said. "Now Jimmy Brown, what do you do at Christmas?"

Well, Ms. Jones, me and my sister also go to church with Mom and Dad and we sing carols and we get home ever so late. We put cookies and milk by the chimney and we hang up our stockings. We hardly sleep, waiting for Santa Claus to bring our presents.

Realizing there was a Jewish boy in the class and not wanting to leave him out of the discussion, she asked, "Now, Isaac Cohen, what do you do at Christmas?"

Isaac said, "Well, it's the same thing every year...Dad comes home from the office. We all pile into the Rolls Royce; then we drive to Dad's toy factory. When we get inside, we look at all the empty shelves...and begin to sing: “What A Friend We Have in Jesus”. Then we all go to the Bahamas.

Anyway...Merry Christmas to all of you too...from me and my husband. Keep safe. Fly safe. Drive safe.

YOLK100, You fit into the Happy Holidays section of my post:) On a different note, I just heard that in Batavia NY. Not to far from me,it is now forbidden to mention God or Christmas in their public schools. It was a nice surprise when I attended my daughters choir performance at our neighborhood PUBLIC school, GOD and Christmas, as well as Hanukkah were celebrated in song.

My daughter attends a weekly bible study type class at her elementary school. It's a public school in Oregon and the class is called good news. There's still freedom in some areas of the country

I say MERRY CHRISTMAS. If that offends you, tough. But do not try to force happy holidays or seasons greeting down my throat. Because you might find out that offends me. Once again, MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, for he is the reason. (wow, a gift everyday of Hanukkah? that would be cool.) MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone, and PLEASE be safe.

How about Happy Yultide. Did you know Jesus was actually born in late November? Look it it up, it's true. I can here my daughters teacher now caling me saying, "uh, Mr. Tyson, we can't have your daughter up here telling the kids there is no such thing as santa", my reply, "I'm terribly sorry, but I choose not to lie to my child or anyone else for that matter, I choose not to set my childs mind up thinking that even the smallest of white lies is ok, and just wait until easter". ;-). Anyhoo, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hannukha, Happy Yultide and may you all be blessed with good health.
