I hope that everyone doesn't think that everyone in this state is STUPID. I read this on another gun forum, I am so glad my daughter is out of school. That kid may be the next Macgyver if he could just turn his mashed potatoes into C-4. I am scared to think what I may have done if it were my kid, you just can't fix stupid. I only expect the school system to teach them reading and writing, leave the gun area for me.

Kids been play shooting with fake guns since....??? My 10 year old sees a gun in everything he touches. Dorky kid. But he knows the difference and has respect for the real deal. We goto the range regularly and he is very cautious and mindfull of what he is doing.

I think they (the schools) are WAY over the top with this stuff. All knee jerk reactions to the unfortunate incidents that have taken place over the years.

"Taylor said the school system has made it clear that if her son eats his pizza into the shape of a gun again and there is a similar occurrence, he will be suspended."

Then she can sue the district for denying her son's protected right to an education. They will knuckle under rather than pay thousands to defend their rediculous position.

School officials said "the child threatened other children." With what, the pizza?

I'm betting that more kids in that school will suffer health problems from the food served in that school than will suffer injury from a gun.

If the school administrators are really concerned about children and guns then they should invite the NRA into the school to teach those children about firearms and safety.

Playing with food is just wrong! ;-)

Maybe it would have been acceptable if the pizza slice had a bright orange muzzle cap on the end of it so that other kids could see that it wasn't a real pizza gun...
