what the hell is wrong with those kids...What kind of parent raises an ANIMAL that would do that. If someone beat my child like that I would be inconsolable and would not rest until they were caught! There are many ways these kids can be dealt with, many would not involve the police. If he were mine that is.

That's horrible! There is a lesson to be learned in that video though...Notice that they are "behind" the school, where no one can see or at least very few people will notice. The video doesn't show how they got there, but that's another reason to NEVER travel down alleys or back streets. I'm not blaming the young man being beaten in the video, but it's a valuable lesson if you want to avoid this happening to you.

It's a sad state of affairs out there these days, in my day (I'm not THAT old), you may only get picked on by ONE guy, now the cowards like to go out gang style...completely unacceptable!

I did not watch that video. I have seen too much of that in person. Usually for economic reasons, good people trapped in bad areas of Chicago and the suburbs, with no legal way to defend themselves, face an insurmountable set of circumstances. It is never as simple as "move somewhere safe." Never that simple. I lived and worked in Chicago for over 10 years and once witnessed my 16 year old son being beaten by plain clothed cops over the hood of a squad car, for no apparent reason other than he did not answer their questions as they expected. Complaints to superiors at the Police Dept. were useless, a waste of my time. I just moved away, one of the lucky families that was able to afford to leave, only because the company I worked for in Chicago shut down and I begged the plant manager to take me with him to his new position in another plant in Ohio. I have been in Ohio, working at that plant for the last 15 years or so. Time flies and nothing changes in Chicago. One of the filthiest cities on the planet, cesspool of the USA. Another true Chi tale- Many many years ago I heard firsthand of a drug deal gone bad in the neighborhood in the middle of a huge snow storm. Did not hear any particulars except there was a dead family as a result, entire family gone. In the Spring as the snow piles along the sidewalks melted away, body parts, arms hands fingers legs genitals etc. were found over a one block area where the victims had disappeared months before. Simple drug lord message to the community. Absolutely true story you never read about in the newspapers of the time.
