Squirrel, rabbit, Pheasant, quail are all good. Gopher and opossum have to be cooked just right or it comes out tasting 'wild'. Venison is a no-brainer on taste. I was a little hesitant the first time I cooked black snake but it turned out pretty good. I've been told skunk is tasty but I've never gotten close enough to one to confirm or deny that statement!
I have my own little smoker so little bambi is really nice. I processed and cook our own meat. Better than store bought most of the time. We usually have 6-months or more supply of meat. I love cooking and preparing food so hubby tolerate my quirks of having a big freezer and a good meat and seafood supply. I have no excuse not to cook him a nice dinner each night. Recipes are a-plenty in the internet...
