That is very sad. Yes he will be missed.

This is indeed a sad day. Charlton was an avid gun owner and supporter of gun rights & tried harder to ensure those rights were safeguarded than most would ever think of doing. He was a friend to us all whether he knew us personally or not. He will be missed greatly!

    May God rest his soul.

He will be dearly missed, may our Prayers be with his Family.

From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to insure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable . . . the very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that is good" (George Washington)

Now that he's gone I still don't think anyone could pry his gun from his hand. Sad news indeed about his death.

Remember those 'Charlton Heston is MY President' bumper stickers?

He changed the discussion about gun ownership with his "from my cold, dead hands" statement.

His kind has become all to rare.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.--River Tam

Sad news indeed. A true friend to gun owners. Too bad we don't have a lot more like him! RIP
