I liked the barbeque beef or spaghetti.
My favorite is the chicken and dumplings, it comes with chocolate covered coffee beans. The spaghetti one isn't to bad but I don't think it comes with any candy, and the bread is chipotle, which is disgusting. I don't really remember the rest because I haven't had to eat them for about 18 months or so! :)

You guys got it made lol. We had seven meals, the best was pretty gross. The worst, Chicken Ala King, would change your molecular structure if you ate it. My last year they added a couple of new ones, and put a tiny bottle of Tobasco in most of the meals. Unfortunately, I don't like Tobasco, but I always kept a couple of bottles of my own favorite brand anyway.
The cherry nut cake was I guess my favorite sweet in them.
I ate C Rats when I was in the Boy Scouts, one of our scoutmasters was a supply sergeant in the local NG unit. They were all made during WWII. LOL....they would open the boxes before handing them out to take out the Lucky Strikes, Newports, or Kents. For some reason they also kept the P38s. Though heavy and bulky, they were a damn sight better than an MRE.
Got a few LRRPs while I was in, the meals weren't that bad if you had hot water, which I always had a little stove I carried to the field. The cereal bar was a cool thing that I have never before or since ate.

Most of the time anything with a tomatto sauce will be alright, I keep a supply on hand just in case everything goes to hell in a hat basket, That along with canned items and a generator to allow access to water I think we should be alright for at least 3 to 5 months. It's a good idea to have something onhand just in case because once something happens it's to late to go to the food store because being near the Chesapeake Bay I know everybody will hit the stores ASAP, I've seen it up close with the huracans that come through here every so often. Be prepaired prior to this before the ***** hits the fan.
They're all good, except the eggs...
And even then, you can learn to like 'em... just add salt, pepper, & Tobasco... and then more salt.
After eating MREs for awhile, you'd be amazed at how good the DFAC(dining facility) food is!
MRE's make sense if you are in the infantry out on patrol or on a civilian backpack trip.
Otherwise canned foods taste much better, again anything with tomato sauce in it is pretty good, like chili or spaghetti sauce. It is not hard to boil-up chopped spaghetti noodles either. Canned vegies and canned fruit when you can bring them with you taste pretty good as well.
Even a dry salami tastes better than MREs.
Either way, don't forget the tobasco sauce, whether canned or MRE, and the salt and pepper too.
I haven't eaten a MRE for over 10 years. As much as they've improved the stuff since I went through Basic in '91, that stuff is NASTY! I've always managed to have access to "real" food, so never really had a "need" to eat the stuff. I usually give my MREs' away to Boy Scouts or others who actually "enjoy" eating that stuff.

I retired a long time ago and the latest thing then was LRRPS. I ate many WW II C Rats, powdered milk, powdered eggs (they were green), pound cake, etc. The best meals to me were the hamburger and sausage patties which were covered in white grease. One day in each week we had heated C rations in the mess hall but you didn't have a selection, only what they gave you. The MREs would have been an absolute luxury to us back then. Regardless of when you were in, none of those rations were anything like our mothers prepared!
