Yes, I am a conservative and no, a Ruger 10/22 is not an assault rifle. As a matter of fact the libs came up with the assault rifle tag. AR originally stood for Armalite Rifle and somehow they got to Assault Rifle.

I'm not a pistol banging person or someone who can't look at the other side of an opinion, but I really can't understand the Liberals who want to always restrict
my 2A rights, assault rifles are not semi auto rifles they are full auto rifles as far as I'm concerned. question, is a ruger 10/22 a assault rifle? Let us know what you think.

I know wiki is not the best...but what do you guys think of their accuracy? Assault rifle vs assault weapon?

In the end I feel no weapon available to the government should be illegal to its citizens.
And the ruger 10/22 is not an assault rifle or assault weapon.
God gets blamed for a lot of things now days, they ask “why would He let this happen?, Why doesn’t He stop it? I really don’t know, but I wonder if He wants to ask us the same questions. All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing
Yes I am a Conservative & I wish there was no need for the NRA
I am a conservative on most issues but I look at things in a libertarian way. I am against abortion but feel no one has a right to tell some to have one or not have one. The problem with hardcores on both sides is they pick an issue and see nothing in the middle. I am an NRA member and I believe the assault weapon ban is atrocious. I would love to see compromise such as we will give you a limit on online ammunition sales if you give us National Right to Carry but unfortunately often with liberals compromise is do it my way or I run to Illinois. Sorry I am from Wisconsin.
I am a moderate democrat and law enforcement. The government should not ban specific weapons. I can understand the ban on full auto weapons but do not necessarily agree with it. I can understand reasonable precautions such as banning violent felons and those with mental illness from purchasing weapons. That is as far as it should go imo.
I still think there is a difference between being a progressive liberal and a Democrat. However, the Democratic Party of my parents today is not the same as it used to be. Today the "Party" has been hijacked by "progressives" which is simply a new gentle sounding name for an old adage. There are people out there that want to re-write the Constitution and install their version of civility. They have leaders like Chuck Schumer, Nancy P, Hillary, they call themselves Progressives because if you are not with them, you are against progress. Just another vilification of any opposition.

"Progressive Liberal" is just code for "Socialist".
I used to be a government-educated stooge. By the grace of God, I repent. -Robert Burris
Can't understand that any more than I can understand those who want to limit a range of rights and freedoms in others. We are an egocentric bunch - the freedoms to do what we want are important, the ones others want and we disagree with - well those care not important.
I am a conservative if you mean the conservatives of the Goldwater or Buckley brand. The new generation of conservative who wants to tell you how to live? No, no more than I am a liberal. The labels now are tools, with little meaning.
