There is plenty I would love to change but those experiences contributed to who I am today. One of those is thinking 5 years from now or so and act so there won't be to many things I wish I could change.

Have you ever thought long and hard about anything you would change from your teen years if you could ? Describe it. The older I get the more I see what's important in life and wonder how you could have changed something if I know what I do now ....

Yeah I understand that is what makes you who you are today . Just a wonderful thought sometimes . Just been doing a lot of thinking lately
Ahhh the retrospect begins. As you get older you may regret certain things you did, didn't do or should have done differently. Don't sweat them. As you get older you'll use those past experiences in making some of the most important decisions of your life. Sometimes you'll be glad later on that you didn't do something, yet it's bothered you ever since. Should I have married Jane? Well, now that I see her in her 40's I thank God I ran like hell. I found that time slowed down my decision making. When I was young and eager i jumped right-in. Now I take the time to consider things carefully. I look at them more long-term. And just when my wife thinks 'm about to make a decision... I think about it some more. This is who makes you who you are. Be glad you're coming to this realization as you age. It's a good sign. Some bubbleheads never get to where you are now and they continue to shoot their own foot (figuratively speaking) throughout life. They never examine their past, beliefs, future options. etc. Many of them are currently pitching a tent at some "occupy" movement.
Be yourself. Trust in yourself. Respect yourself always. Let no one ever tell you that something is impossible or you can't do it. As long as you did your best it's good enough. And it has to be good enough for everyone else. You don't need to prove anything to anyone other than you. And if you did your best, whether the outcome was good or bad, go home and sleep well... you've done your job. Remember, God and evolution gave you 10,000 years of instinct. When the hair on your neck is up and something doesn't feel right, trust in yourself. You're gonna be just fine.

Thanks for the encouraging words ... Post above very good insight into everything and more to think about ...
You finally posted a topic I can get 100% behind.
I used to work at a crisis treatment center for teens and the one thing that I tried every single day to hammer into their heads was that at 45 (at the time) years old I was (and still am) living with the results iof decisions I made when I was 16 years old.
If I could only pick one thing I never would have started smoking
Let me be clear, if you love ANYTHING, even America, More that you love Jesus Christ that thing is an idol to you
