The news said yesterday 33 years with a chance of out in 9.

Maybe this little time behind bars will give him plenty of time to think about EVERYTHING he's done wrong. Or, maybe he'll change his name and convert to Islam like many Black inmates seem to be doing these days.

Hope he finds a nice husband in jail. Fact is that he committed a serious crime and needs to be punished for his actions.

Not trying to stick up for him or anything, but it seems to me that this particular punishment does not fit this particular crime. The severity of this sentence was due in part to his refusal to take a plea bargain, and because everyone remembered what happened 13 years ago. Were it not for those two things, he would have been out in less than five years.
