Well I'm back. We left the car downstate, so one of my friends' uncles drove us back home last night. He has lots of opinions and we took turns talking to him on the way back to keep him awake. Nice guy, but definitely anti-handgun.
I didn't attempt to debate him or anything...but I had to keep myself laughing at the irony. He was specifically ranting about how bad it is for private citizens to carry handguns - completely unbeknownst to him, I was sitting right beside him with a loaded PT145. Apparently it's either extremely well-behaved, or firearms aren't semi-autonomous, after all.
Silent Running, by Mike and the Mechanics
This is a Christmas story that warms my heart. Glad to hear that you were able to participate in a discussion with an anti without turning into a raving lunatic. After all, isn't that what antis believe that firearm possession turns people into?
Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.
