It was interesting to here him say a shotgun is not you best choice. I have always felt the same way. Besides the fact that it is more likely to be taken away from you than a hand gun also you can not hit the BG without hitting your loved one he is holding.

Good vid. Lots of helpful and realistic advise.

I especially appreciate how they don't portray the armed home-owner to be 'superhuman' just because you're armed. Clearing your home room-by-room and/or going in search of one of your kids in a B&E situation is really dangerous on many levels. They covered that clearly and succinctly.

+1 with HK4U on the shotgun. I love shotguns, but they don't make my list for 'ideal home defense' gun for all the reasons mentioned in this vid. Good points.

Interestingly, the vid portrays someone clearing their house with a handgun with arms locked & gun way out in front - which in my estimation equates to why you don't want to use a long gun - you 'advertise' your gun well ahead of what your eyes can see as a threat. I train folks to pull in tight and clear/fight from the high ready so you can keep your gun and still shoot instantly if you have to. But still - nice video. Thanks for sharing that infidel!

+1. Keep the firearm in close to the body.
