Precisely. There is no element of surprise for us. SURPRISE! Some dirtbag decided to take a gun and shoot some people today, and SURPRISE! you were one of them, and SURPRISE! it didn't matter than your gun was concealed, or open, or attached to a drawer slide up your sleeve, because SURPISE! this guy had already decided to shoot you, or someone else, before you even knew what was happening. But, SURPRISE! over 80 percent of people survive gunshot wounds, and SURPRISE! he didn't expect you to shoot back, or to keep shooting until he was down and no longer a threat, so SURPRISE! You get to go home to your family, and SURPRISE! he gets to spend a week in the ER, or forever in the ground.

Localgirl: Now THAT's a surprise! LOL!

It's ALL in the luck of the draw, the deal of the cards. Your gun is just there to give you a chance, and many times even that will not make up for the lottery of the fates.

Just insurance that you carry in the hopes you never have to place a claim.

"Are you lookin' for a fight, Buddy?" (Old song)

"Hell no! Not me! Ask the [sheep]dog!" (Old Geo Carlin "cats" routine, [edited].)

    LOL!
