Texas is NOT a gun-friendly state. They hold your 2nd Amendment rights for ransom, and then call it a "privilege" to carry concealed. No handgun open carry allowed, yet you can walk down the street with a loaded rifle. Frakking absurd...

Now, we have OC in Michigan without needing a license. But you do need a license to carry concealed, or to OC in your vehicle. Also, certain places are verbotten to OC, unless you have a Concealed Pistol License.

Just don't take your weapon to a bar, a church, a medical facility, or a stadium. And if you forget your gun is in your bag when you enter a secure area of an airport instead of just a fine from the TSA you'll be charged with a felony under Texas State law.
Do they have all those restriction in state law in California?

Many people have their opinions about the Great State of Texas. we're country folk, we're uneducated, we're whatever you wanna say. Just remember, when it comes to gunlaws in Texas, use common sense. As stated above you cannot open carry. no cc in a bar, government building, sporting event(even outdoor), under any covered portion of a school(covered would be considered inside the school),most hospitals, convienece store where alcohol is sold, or where correctly posted. Correctly posted means letters are one inch by one inch, in contrasting colors(with the background), must be english AND spanish, must be posted at every entrance to the building. If its not correctly posted the sign is not valid.
Oh! I almost forgot. you can carry as many guns as you want, and as much ammo as you want, as long as it remains concealed.
Oh, we can do that in Michigan too, but they don't have to stay concealed.Still, I have to say, Texas has a lot in it's favor. A better economy for one thing.
