I agree 100%. The cops I've talked to concerning this have advised me not to volunteer the info just to avoid any potential hassle from a rookie or skittish LEO. However, they personally would like to be informed as a matter of preference. I touched on this subject last week in another thread....

I spoke with MY Police Chief concerning this very matter. He stated it would be best to inform the officer so as NOT to have any surprises. Since that time, our LTCH info now comes with any license run by the PD so as of late, it's a moot point

To me, the only thing surprising during an LEO interaction would be them treating me like a criminal for being a law abiding carrier. :)
