Default Gun laws in Oregon

Does anyone know where to get information on specific gun laws in our state. I checked out the Oregon Government site, but I'm not a lawyer and most of that stuff is gobbledy gook to me. I just had a few questions like:
Is it legal to carry a loaded rifle in a vehicle?
or can you keep a round chambered in your open carry pistol?

Just so happens I answered my own question. It is legal to carry a loaded rifle in a vehicle. And it is legal to have a round chambered in an open carry pistol. Through my searching, I found a website that answers many questions I have.

http://oregonfirearms.org/faq/

I strongly recommend visiting this site, I have it bookmarked now.

That was exactly what I was going to say after I read all of the posts before yours.

Good link, Cooter. Took about an hour to read it, but lots of good information.

Yes, really strange how the "law" doesn't know what the "law" is.
