    America's Not the Greatest Anymore?

Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia...Tenche Coxe, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788.

I might be for the moment, but if Obama get's another term, it's over.

Finally going to do my first post. Been watching and reading. I'm from cincy and have held a ccw for 3 yrs. I belong to a local gun club, (they force me to be part of the NRA, that's another thread). I shoot rifles, shotguns, pistols. I'm a libertarian and probably lean liberal a bit socially, conservative fiscally.

Just a comment on your note. I've been hearing people say exactly what your saying and it never "is the end of America" like people like you say in order to sway the vote. Our grandparents said the same thing. If we would vote fiscally, the rest would fall into place. Instead we vote about healthcare, abortion, gun rights, blah blah blah. All of this while our financial crisis continues. Get out and talk to people about that. Don't just tell them "its all over if he wins". No one believes that Crap. Tell them why.

The link did not work for me. Maybe they pulled it. And I believe that if Obama wins that our great nation is in danger of becoming a socialist state. Maybe I'm just stupid, but there are alot of people that believe the same way that I do, maybe they are stupid too. I don't think so.

  7. I cleaned up the link

    Note: Strong langauge.

This is still the greatest nation that has ever existed. But Obama and the progressives are working very hard to change it. I can only conclude that those constantly critical of this country, the constitution, its founders, its traditions, and its place in the world, are not patriots. If you like nothing about this country why would you even want to stay here.

Every nation state that has ever existed has eventually collapsed. We really must want to preserve our nation and be willing to work and sacrifice for the continued existence of this country.

May I respectfully add, look who's been in charge for the last 100 years..republicans & democrats.

    I'm just saying..this miight..be a clue.

maybe 2 party "first to worst" policy isn't really in line with true American values...?

The progressive philosophy is a cancer. It has afflicted almost every president of the 20th century. It started with Teddy Roosevelt and Wilson and has reached its apex with Obama. Is there any wonder why this country is in so much trouble.? It began in England in the late 19th century with the Fabian Socialists (ENGLISH) and Marx (exiled German). It spread like a cancer throughout Europe and to the US. This disease was a reaction to the industrial revolution and its injustices. It was at the heart of almost all of the wars of the 20th century. It is both a political philosophy and a religion. It is responsible for the death of over 100 million people. And like cancer many of those afflicted are unaware. If we don't destroy this evil it will consume western culture and civilization. We need to get back to the Constitution that made this the greatest country in the history of the world. Voting this November is essential to changing the course this country has taken.

Sorry for the history lesson as incomplete as it is.
