Famous last words. It can't happen here. The only thing that sets us apart from other countries and has set us apart is the grace of God but sense we as a nation for a large part have turned our back on God that grace my be coming to an end. to claim that the Constitution will prevent all manner of evil from coming to America is a pipe dream. First of all the Constitution gives us no rights. It only recognizes pre existing rights granted us by our Creator.

The fact that we are granted NO rights by the Constitution is the crux of the issue. Most people do not realize this. Ask someone what rights are granted to us by the Constitution and they'll start telling you about the Bill of Rights, etc., not realizing the fallacy of what they are saying.

And since the atheists or socialists, for the most part or by definition, don't believe in God, they cannot fathom or accept the idea that our rights are pre-Constitution, granted to us by the Creator. This is also why they are striving so hard to strip God from the public place for when they succeed at this, they can make the claim that...we have only those rights granted to us by the gov't. This is also why cultural/moral issues are germane to the political discussion.
