If you felt a frisson of fear on news that the Senate had passed Obamacare the day before Christmas, then you now know what it was and is like to live in a dictatorship. The voice of the People was ignored in a demonstration of raw political power.

From my experience and stories from my parents and childhood, this is a small taste and far from a dictatorship.
Before we achieve Socialism or Communism, there will be a revolt for dictatorship.

I think most people don't want to comprehend the fate of this great nation and just stick their heads in the sand hoping it will go away.

Better yet, hoping someone will stand up for them.

I think most people don't want to comprehend the fate of this great nation and just stick their heads in the sand hoping it will go away.

I agree wholeheartedly. Today, I had a discussion with an individual who agreed things were tough, maybe even bad and he was hopeful that things would be better next year. I told him I thought things would be worse next year and he said but Obama says things are looking up. Ok. Now I am pretty well done here but another guy who I don't know but was eves dropping asks, do you think it will be like the fall of the Weimar Republic. I was actually kinda shocked that someone else actually knew of this and understood the import.

We are in dangerous waters and it ain't getting any better. We all have to stand up and stand together. Now is the time because I fear there will be no later.

I recommend you Google The Weimar Republic. History is a valuable teaching tool unless you are a liberal.

Well said, JJFlash. Anybody who has seen the video of the young woman excitedly saying that Obama will pay her mortgage and put gas in her car...and the one who couldn't wait to get her share of the "Obama money", should be aware ot the "gimme, gimme" mindset of so many of our citizens. Yep...they keep grazing at the "government trough" and will choose to stay subservient for the free ride.

Great post, hardballer. Yes, with trillions of dollars in added national debt in just one year, can hyperinflation be far away? Get in "survivalist mode", Folks. Stock up on food and ammunition, so that when the economy tanks and there is chaos, you will be able to feed yourself and your family and protect yourself from those who would take it away from you.
