Great site. I tracked some of the quotes mentioned throughout the blogginf and found a dozen new ones that will come in handy both for teaching and my 2A points!
Here is a great site to read up on the Supreme Court case that will be heard in Feb. or March and can be a strong force in deciding our next election.

"But if any aprovide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel."
Tarzan,
That was certainlysome good news. Now DC will try to postpone the hearing of the case because the new team will not have the necessary time to prepare for their arguements.
Thanks for posting. Lets pray this goes our way.
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house;by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith Heb.11:7
Here is the brief in PDF foremat filed by the D.C. legal team. Their only conclusion is that one has to be a member of a "state organized millitia" to possess a firearm. It recognizes no right to self defense except with a dismantled or triggerlocked long gun.

Although I am not a Jew, here is a link to a post on a Jewish pro-gun site that is very pertinent to the pending Supreme Court Case:

I only mentioned that I am not a Jew because I am not taking any religious stand on this issue which I feel is a correct stance. Anyway, I think that this is a good article if you look at the whole thing. It even shows some opinions from the Federalist Papers which are also referenced in the D.C. Brief.
I think that the "preamble" argument of their 4th premise is particularly compelling. The introductory clause "A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, " is, indeed, typical of the preambles used in the writing style of the period. Clearly the salient point is: "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed".

I am not a Jew either. I think JPFO is doing a better job than the NRA protecting our rights.
