I have a feeling, CWM, you're gonna be pretty disappointed. Seems to me no one runs a campaign, or governs, for the good of the country anymore. "What's in it for me?" seems to be the modus operandi of both the ruling aristocracy and most of the citizenry.

I can honestly say that our Representative J. Randy Forbes, Republican (VA) stays true to his conservative principles, even though he must feel that he's fighting a losing battle in Congress and, quite often, is the lone voice for sanity and responsibility. He consistently votes against any Bill that is not in the interest of the American people (i.e. healthcare reform, bailouts, pork barrel spending), and his constituents reward him for his loyalty by voting him back into office again and again.
I will wait, patiently, to learn from my forum buddies, if there are other Statesmen acting bravely (and patriotically) on behalf of their constituents.
