I grew up in NYC in a democratic family. Most of my relatives in NY, NJ and even around the country are democrats. My son for gods sake is a democrat--we DO NOT talk politics--have had at least one reconciliation with him to make my wife happy. I can say unequivocally that I will NEVER vote democratic ever again in whatever time an old guy has left, and I will make it my purpose in life to explain to my grandchildren my point of view in the strongest terms possible. At this junction I have a big problem with republicans as well but I do live in SC where, outside of Lindsey Graham going nuts, we have lived up to the tea party desires before this shithead got in the white house got there with his shithead minions.

For me it's my Dad. Usually we can talk politics without becoming emotional, but this past Summer, while on vacation (in South Carolina!), things got real heated and we had to back it down. He's a product of the Depression, and I understand that many in his generation feel the Democrats pulled them out. But his passion for the Liberal position leaves me sick to my stomach...he's a very intelligent man, but he's got this blind spot where it comes to seeing the other side of this issue.

In Truth, for the good of the Country, I hope OB pulls it out again and everything turns out just peachy. It's just that the intellectual, scientifically curious side of my brain can't bring the rest of me to actually believe it, and I'm betting on all of this Liberal structure collapsing like a house of cards into the ******** its foundation is built upon...

so, now the Dems are going to try to make us all believe that they are touchy-feely. I offer BO's speech tonight on the Christmas Day terrorist act on the airliner. BO actually said that the buck stopped with him. He actually referred to "a war against terrorism". I about fell off of my chair. He was offering up some humble pie and saying the very words that he knows the citizenry need/want to hear from him. Do I believe a word he said? Well, I didn't vote for him because....."change" isn't always good. As it has turned out, his kind of change is taking the USA down the road to destruction. No...I don't believe anything that he says/said or promises/promised. It is all just empty rhetoric. He doesn't care what is best for the taxpayers; every move he makes, and every Bill Congress has passed, since his inaugration, has empowered the government and those who are in office.

Damage control is a good way to put it. Or a snow job. I will never trust him. Then again at this point in time there are not many politicians that I do trust.

My whole family is a cluster-f*ck! Both of my daughters are Obama junkies, and will not listen to ANY reason. When the oldest found out I had participated in the 9/12 march in D.C., she immediately called me a racist. Both of them have closed minds and will not admit to any facts brought to them.

My sister actually ran for Congress in California a few years back, as a Democrat. She and her husband are uber-liberals - there can be NO discussion of politics around then, or the armor goes on and the battle begins.

My wife and I stay to ourselves about our conservative bent, but our families know that we are definitely against Obama and the socialist plank he's forcing on this country. If they don't like that, TS!
