You guys & gals are going to love this.
I went to a meeting today with my 14 year old twin boys. They are going to the 100 year anniversary Boy Scout National Jamboree in Virgina this summer. At the meeting we discussed what the scouts could bring and what they could not bring.
The subject of pocket knifes came up. We were told that the scouts could bring their pocket knifes but that they had to go into the duffel bags that get transported to the camp site in the tractor trailer and not their back packs.
The reason? Because they are going to tour Washington DC on their way to camp.
My sons asked me why such a rule existed. I told them that DC was the bastion of liberal politics and that they were scared that some scout would go on a killing spree while they were in DC with their pocket knifes.
WTF over.
