If we assume that 51 innocent people were murdered, from among a population of 4 to 5 million concealed carriers over 2.5 years, then how exactly does that compare with the rest of the country?

Well, 51 murders over 2.5 years means 20.4 people murdered a year. With 4 to 5 million concealed carriers, that's a murder rate of 0.41 per 100K (5 million carriers) to 0.51 per 100K (4 million carriers).

In 2008, the murder rate continued to fall to 5.4 per 100K. See Table 1

Even if the VPC numbers are 100% correct, then the rest of the country is 10 times more murderous than concealed carriers.

Yep, the VPC, AKA: The Brady Bunch, et.al. are primarily responsible for public & private company policies preventing the carrying of ANY kind of weapon, regardless of whether you have a permit or not...

They regularly send out fliers, pamphlets etc., to Private Company Owners, Human Resource Departments, CEO's of Public & Private Companies, Insurance Companies, School Boards, Police Departments, Governors & Mayors offices, all members of Congress, Supreme Court, President, Vice President, etc., demonizing weapons in the workplace and generally anywhere outside the home, under lock & key and or dissembled, until such time as you intend to use it, and quoting bogus statistics...

When what they really don't want you to know IS that since the mythology of the "Gun Free or Weapons Free Zones" circa 1980's under so-called uber Conservative Gun-Banning, Amnesty & Entitlement Loving President Ronald Reagan, the majority of all mass shootings have occurred in such locations of Clear & Intentional Second Amendment & Constitutional Infringement.
