I'm not sure about now but in the early 1970's the PHS (Public Health Service) Doctors held Naval Rank. I remember the Doc we had at a remote island in Alaska actually outranked our Commanding Officer. He and his wife were stationed there. Our CO was a LTJG and Doc Mike was a Lt Commander. May be something along those lines. I think its worth checking into though.

This is the "Civil Defense Force" that Obama was talking about ladies and gentlemen. These are the people who are going to be raiding our homes trying to seize our guns. Obama declared earlier on that he would establish a civil defense force and they would be as well funded and as well equipped as the entire US military.

The Public Health Service wore naval uniforms when I was stationed at Letterman Army Med Center in the 1980s.

This is what they are talking about not the barry's personal "SS"

I just don't understand what the purpose of this "Corps" would be if not for malicious reasons. The reasons stated in the bill for creating this "Corps" are covered by the National Guard. If the president or Congress feels that we need more boots on that job then increase the strength of the NG.

This rubs me the wrong way for SO many different reasons. It CAN'T be good.

+1. Nothing coming from this administration can be good.
