As I interpret this, in their scaled down version, they just created 159 new government agencies. God knows how many staffers and what it will cost YOU in your taxes and increased costs in products you buy. This is going to be astronomical. And they tried to tell us it would "save money"?

Unless the citizens ( that's you can me bucko ) are truly ready to demand government reverse itself and get out of our lives -- and that includes your 'favorite program' you think should be an exception to reduction or elimination -- things can not improve.

Maybe it's just cause I'm a little down these days that I feel this way, but I think not:

This country is not EVER going to get "better" by whatever definition we use. The simple, overriding fact is that close to 50% of the population does not have skin in the game (i.e., pay no federal income tax) and therefore has no vested interest in changing the system. Nay, they wish it to become ever more re-distributive of the wealth, because the re-distribution lands in their pockets.

How in the hell do you think they're gonna vote? And the number is growing, not receding.

We can dicker, *****, and argue about this issue and that, but, IMO, this is the bottom line. The America that we yearn for cannot ever regenerate itself under this condition.
