Cooper, I will nibble at your "bait". Show me one country that has survived socialism and flourished. Socialism is a by product of other forms of government which formed a thriving nation. Then the people decided that it no longer works and want an idealistic dream world that will not last. When one loses his ambition to have more by working harder, planning better, and putting his life into said project/business then the nation as a whole loses too. Complacency is the goal of socialism--not individual growth through harder more diligent work.
