For thousands of years only a small portion of the people would read or write. Those that did know how would read and tell the others what they had read. For a couple of thousand years there was a certain group that did a great job of reading the Bible and explaining to the masses the Bible said and meant. Since few people could read they did very well in controlling the population by interpreting the Bible to their advantage. In "modern" times the number of people who can and do read has increased so much until the power of being able to control people by advantageous interpretation should no longer exist but for some reason seems to more than ever but is now spread out over thousands of "sects".

The same principle applies to conspiracy mongers that they seek to control people by that which cannot be proven. There is no way to prove that Bigfoot or UFO's do not exist. There is no way to prove that Bush did not blow up the levees at nawlins. There is no way to prove that NK did not blow up the well. The secret to controlling people is to be sure that you cannot be "proven" wrong, always have and excuse and never underestimate the intelligence of the general population.

Exactly Fn1910. Government conspiracies have become conspiracy nuts religion. They "just believe" regardless of the facts or more importantly, lack thereof. Just like regular religion, it doesn't require proof. And just like believers of other religions, as far as they're concerned, their's is the "right" one.

Maybe by electoral count, however by popular vote it was a slim win. And my evidence:

Last time I read the document, the popular vote don't mean squat. Just ask Al Gore.

And therein lies the problem. The popular vote "means nothing" and we have an administration that proves that since they pass laws that the majority of the people don't want and speak out against laws that the majority does want and the administration doesn't even read. The progressive agenda cares nothing about the people or the Constitution unless it backs them.

Ron, may I suggest you step off your conservative Obama bashing stump, and read the Constitution? It will explain how the electoral college functions. It was put in place long before Barry's daddy came to American and impregnated Stanley Ann.

You don't need to dig up conspiracy theories nowadays - this crap is right out in the open, for all to see. Do you trust your local PD? Should you?

I watched this video........what a load of crap from this MD cop!!!!! These people would be facing the mossberg law if they had showed up at my home! Unbeleivable.

The problem with issues like these is that none of us really know what happened, nor do we have any real way to get to the truth. I don't trust some of the stuff government, big oil, the N. Koreans, the media etc. have to say about this oil spill. We need to concentrate efforts to keep the damage down to a dull roar, if at all possible, and keep our noses to the wind for anything that points to the possible culprit. Just my thoughts.

Trust me, I know about the Constitution and the electoral college. While I agree Obama is natural born, it doesn't mean I have to agree with his politics. After all that also is a right protected by the Constitution. I was simply pointing out that he didn't truly win by a wide margin because I believe the people do count. But since you disagree with me I'm Obama smashing.
