It's strange, question about the oil leak.

With all that oil leaking in the Gulf and with it coming ashore on Americas coast line. Has anyone heard of Mexico or Cuba having any oil on their coastlline?

The Deepwater Horizon was relatively close to the American coast. It was not close to Mexico or Cuba. The prevailing currents and winds carry the lion's share of the spilt oil in to shore. It will take a much worse spill or a much longer spill for any oil to reach Mexico or Cuba.

Hasn't it reached the Fla. coastline? just 90 miles south is Cuba. Why aren't they speaking out?

We have had oil sheen and tar balls near Pensacola and scattered tar balls 40 miles east in Ft. Walton Beach. Ft. Walton beach is about a 7 hour drive northwest of Tampa, and 4.5 to 5 hours from New Orleans. If we're just now getting signs of oil, it will be a while before areas along the peninsula are affected.

The following has a map that may help explain why it hasn't reached Mexico, at least not yet. With hurricane season coming up things could change very quickly.

When I lived 44 miles from Corpus Christi and went to Padre Island in the summer, we always found tar balls on the beach. They were just always there. This was in the 1950's. Tar balls are nothing new. Now the oil floating on the surface is a real problem.
