As of 2008, we had 700 bases oversees and troops in 130 countries. Tell those countries to invest in their own defense and put our troops on our own border. This would likely stop the illegal traffic on our southern border and reduce Defense expenses by removing the amount we pay in lease agreements for bases on foreign soil.

Washington in all his wisdom new exactly what he was talking about when he warned against getting into the affairs of the rest of the world. At least starting from WW1 on we effectively turned our back on prudent advice and look what the cost has been and continues to be and I don't mean just monetarily.
