For those of us who are not familar with HB 89, what was it and how would it have effected y'all down there in Georgia?
The Georgia Senate has rejected amendments presented by the Georgia House for HB 89. This means the bill will go through a compromise hearing. This doesn't bode well and may take till the end of the year. Those who are members of georgiacarry.org have this info already and as soon as information is available on how the Senators voted I will post it here.

HB 89, as amended, would have removed the "Public Gatherings" clause from firearms laws, allowed carry in mass transit areas, and made other improvements to current Georgia firearms laws. There is more info available here:
