Best way to destroy the economy, keep liberal progressives in power, punish the productive people and reward the non productive people. Wait isn't that what all this hope and change is all about.![]()

To the editor:
If you tried to destroy the economy what would you do different?
Would you introduce a $825 billion stimulus package that would spend just 16 percent for a "quick jolt" to the economy?
Add another 3 percent for America's infrastructure, and if you were serious about wind, solar and nuclear power, would you only use 2 percent of the money for clean energy?
Let's face it, this package isn't meant to stimulate the economy, it's meant to reshape it and create 150 new federal programs.
Would you impose federal health care on a already burden economy?
Would you place a ban on deep well drilling in the gulf, and brag about making the Gulf one of the strictest places on the planet for offshore drillers to work?
Would you push for cap and trade or authorize the EPA to force more regulations on business.
Would you do a government takeover of the auto industry and hand it over to the union? GM loses almost $2,500 in profitability per vehicle where Toyota makes almost $1,500 per vehicle. This is largely due to GM's forced union contracts. The United Auto Workers mandates that GM pay, on average, each non-skilled line worker about $33 dollars per hour. This includes workers who are "idle," meaning they don't have a specific job that day, but can still come to work, sit in a special facility and collect a paycheck
Would you add more and more regulations and taxes on business?
Would you do a $26 billion teachers' bailout and just add it to the already over-taxed businesses and the American workers?
I can sum this up with the following quote from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
Pelosi called the House back into session last week to pass a $26 billion bailout bill to help cash-strapped states pay for 140,000 teachers, saying the legislation's price tag "may sound like a lot of money, but the value of having all of those union members on our Democrat campaign team makes it well worth the investment."
"Most people don't understand all of the good that these union members do. These people make the phone calls, give the money, do the door-to-door work because they have a personal financial stake in the re-election of Democrats. You can't get that kind of commitment out of mere volunteers.
"It's a quid-pro-quo arrangement, the public-sector unions make sure we get elected, and we make sure they get ever-increasing salaries and sweet guaranteed pension deals for life."
This relentless emphasis on bailouts and stimulus spending has done little to spur economic growth or create jobs, but has greatly advanced the power of the federal government in America.
This isn't about Democrats, Republicans, or minorities, we are just being used by the liberal, socialist, government elites who are no longer satisfied with doing what is right for America - they want to be the ruling class and we are the followers who pay the bills.

I've gotta say, do I doubt that Nancy Pelosi would say these words verbatim? No, not in the slightest. Do I doubt that Nancy Pelosi would say them in public, within range of a recording device or enough people that one of them would remember it and the rest be able to confirm their account of Queen Pelosi's words? Yes, actually. I do.
This piece is tailor made to piss off everyone who is not union, which is the majority. This close to the biggest political lynching in 30 years, I think her sense of political self-preservation would override her actually saying these words aloud.
If anyone has a youtube of her saying, I'd love to watch it, but until then, POIDH. Pics or it didn't happen.

You may be right I got the information with Pelosi's quotes from scrappleface.
I didn't find a youtube, with my dial up connection it wouldn't work if I did.
Pelosi: $26 Billion Teachers’ Union Bailout Good Value
“Every step we take towards making the State our Caretaker of our lives, by that much we move toward making the State our Master.” – Dwight D. Eisenhower
I had the honor of marching with the 24th. Infantry Division at President Eisenhower’s funeral.
Up until this past election, I didn't really worry about Democrat or Republican they both had good and bad policy from time to time. I didn’t realize they were removing our freedom little by little, infiltrating our schools, creating a welfare class of voters, and building a monstrous Government Beau racy.
I can understand how you could be mixed up on President Eisenhower’s Party afiliation.
Now things have changed and I worry a lot about the Protection of our Country, our Individual Freedoms, and the Economy this administration is trying to destroy. I don't think it is a Democrat or Republican thing, I think it is a Socialist Nazi Thing, and the Democrats are being used.
For the past 60 years they have been trying to destroy our Constitution. If our Constitution hadn't been as strong as it is, it wouldn't have taken them 60 years. This administration is paying no attention to the Constitution and look at it as just a piece of paper.
What they haven't accounted for is the strength of the American People and their love of Freedom which this Country was founded on.
What it has taken them 60 years to destroy We the people can rebuild.
Their political strength is to divide us, by color, race and religious. They have done it in the past to their political advantage. It takes great leaders like Ronald Ragan and Martin Luther King to break their hold, with the help of the People.
We all deserve Individual Rights, I for one don‘t think we are so stupid that we need a Government to tell us what to eat, and how to live, we are capable of taking care of ourselves..
“Every step we take towards making the State our Caretaker of our lives, by that much we move toward making the State our Master.” – Dwight D. Eisenhower
I believe it's quite to the contrary, sorry to say. It's more than obvious that the American People are stupid, for "they" have been telling us what to eat, and how we are to live, and think, for the past twenty years. And as for the strength of the American People and their love of freedom, it's also more than obvious after experiencing the freedoms that we have lost over the past twenty years, and are continuing to lose under this present administration, that the American People have no strength. Considering the fact that the liberal public education system has distorted the facts of history relating to the freedoms that our country was founded on, people are totally oblivious as to these freedoms, and their loss of. America didn't get into this situation because the American People are smart, and America will not get out of this situation because Americans are smart. It's more than obvious that the majority of Americans don't think that they are capable of taking care of themselves, they want a handout and socialism is their opium, the way they vote confirms this. Life is tough, even tougher if you're stupid.

There's a big difference between tolerant and stupid, however looking at the level of tolerance today, it's definitely stupid. This time America has been asleep far too long, and the only thing that comes to a sleeper is a dream. In this case it will be a nightmare, because it's too late, and there's always a last time.

It is never too late, and I for one will not give up.
I am headed for DC Friday night for the rally Saturday at the Lincoln Memorial with a few thousand others that will not give up.
We need a President, Congress and Senate that will start living by the Constitution.
Fire all the Federal Judges that have proven they could care less about the Constitution.
Eliminate all Federal and State Employee Unions.
Less regulation on all Business not regulate them out of the Country.
Privatize our Schools we don't need Government agendas as part of the curriculum.
Eliminate every un-needed government agency, which is most of them.
Limit the terms in office to 2 for Senate and Congress, and we need to make sure they represent the People of their State and not just fill their pockets and support those that pay the best.
