Default As a Gun Owner, What are you doing on November 2nd?

Every forum member should be making plans to vote on Nov 2nd.

    Go to the NRA website.
They have a great system for Election Day
All you have to do is put in your address and they will show you the Candidates for your political subdivision.

Print it out and weigh carefully before voting for a pro-gun control anti 2A candidate.

    The choice is yours.

I fully concur. Research of the candidates should have been completed by now and everyone of us should be prepared to vote. The vote is our most powerful weapon right now. We need to make ourselves heard.

Default Something else that makes this year different.

    This is a Census Year.
Based on the winners in November in a State Capital near you. The gerrymandering will begin sometime in January.

In the case of my state (NY) there are anti gun politicians on both side of the aisle. The fact of the matter is that the overwhelming majority are D's. 98% of the current Dems are anti gun, and 99.9% of the Dems from NY City.

If the D's retain power on November 3rd. New York Gun Owners are screwed. Not to mention hunters, bow hunters, and even fishermen.

If you like the wellfare state and the loss of more Constitutional Rights by all means keep voting for liberal progressives. I will keep voting for conservative candidates like I have in the past. Get out and vote.

I'll be standing at the polls holding candidate signs, as usual. And it will be urking me because it will cut into TWO days of Maine hunting season. But the sweet taste of victory will be worth it.

What I think about is, what will people be doing in the weeks leading up to it. GET ACTIVE! I have a 20 foot long piece of marine shrink wrap I'm making a sign to hold over the highway. NO INCUMBENTS!

GET ACTIVE is right, but also get ready to be attacked like you have never been attacked before.

After watching the weekend "News shows" on the elections, the theme is emerging that the Dems and particularly the incumbents are being labeled as your more experienced candidates and the challengers (WE THE PEOPLE) are being labeled as "Nut Jobs".

I don't care what they say. The House of Representatives was designed by the founders to be made of up ordinary people serving every two years. Not career politicians made up of lawyers that were unsuccessful in private life.

Somehow that basic theory has been eroded into what we have today.
Perhaps through apathy or maybe through a plan to create apathy.
The whole thing about vilifying the TEA Party is a plan to dis-encourage we the people hoping to get ordinary citizens to stay home on elections day. this way only the party faithful will show up at the polls, and the power is retained by the self serving incumbents.

NOTE The House holds the purse strings to the entire Federal Government. Man that is power.

The Senate is supposed to be the learned statesmen making sure that the House of Representatives follows the limits of the Constitution. Dealing with international treaties etc.

The executive Branch enforces the laws made by the Congress (We the People) instead the executive branch has been given authority by congress to create regulations made by unelected Czars and Departments that can levy fees (taxes) and basically create more power for themselves.

Bottom Line: Over the next few weeks you will hear sitting politicians and their pundits call anyone that is planning to vote for a TEA Candidate or for someone who has never been in politics before a NUT or stupid, or a right wing radical.
Consider the source and the desperation of the people making the claim. They are afraid of We The People and don't want to loose their power.
Wear what ever name they call you proudly as you show up to vote on Nov 2nd.

I agree 100%, my libertarian ass is voting for who I think can win, meaning not my libertarian candidate, not this election.

As far as the NRA goes, after this last year, I really don't trust them all that much. Please research beyond them, look at The GOA, etc.

    Good Luck.

Like the zombies did on election day of 2008, I will be voting early and often! That's where the similarity ends. Then I will go to Costco and buy the mega pack of hors d'oeurves. At around 8:00 P.M. I will have my little treats to eat and sit down in front of the big screen to watch Fox news. I will be sitting there like it's Super Bowl Sunday cheering as I watch each liberal socialist democrat get sacked at the line of scrimmage sending them home with their bags packed. Can't wait.
