    Default Obama’s Sneaky Treaties

President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are entering negotiations over — or seeking ratification of — five treaties that could radically limit our national sovereignty and the reach of our democratic institutions. Particularly scary is that the treaties, once signed and ratified, have the same status as constitutional law and cannot be altered or eclipsed by Congress or state legislatures. And their provisions must be enforced by U.S. courts.

There is your new world order. I'm sure glad we have Obama as our leader with his open administration. Nothing being done behind closed doors. We are so blessed. What happened to the sarcastic icon?

Neither the president nor secretary of state may enter into any treaty that violates the United States Constitution without approval by two-thirds of the Senate.

Reid v. Covert, 354 U.S. 1 (1957), is a landmark case in which the United States Supreme Court ruled that the Constitution supersedes international treaties ratified by the United States Senate. According to the decision, "this Court has regularly and uniformly recognized the supremacy of the Constitution over a treaty," although the case itself was with regard to an executive agreement, not a "treaty" in the U.S. legal sense, and the agreement itself has never been ruled unconstitutional.

Really, and this is going to stop the Obama administration? Obama and his administration is way too important to worry about any constitution. He is about change that is good for us. Haven't you been paying attention?

Absolutely. Which is why I understand he can't do it. He can try all day long but the damage to the democrat party will be irreversable. Future candidates will suffer. Hillbillary will never get to be president if she subverts the constitution. This treaty is going nowhere as the eyes of GOP legislators are focused directly on it.

I agree he can't legally do this. You are putting allot of faith in the same people that rammed Obama care down our throats, without ever reading it. Liberals will support liberals. Out comes are not important, good intentions are.

Obamacare was enacted before the GOP take-over in Congress. At the time the dems held the majority in both houses so there was no resistance. If he tried to pass Obamacare today it would be defeated.

I am concerned as Obamacare is proof of what these tyrants will do when they have a majority rule. Even the dems are smart enough to know they can't get re-elected on a gun-ban platform.

Obama did in FACT say that our Founding Fathers made it so difficult for him to make these changes. That's why he can't force Congress to do what he wants done.

To blame our Founding Fathers for his complete failure. What a joke!! This guy thinks he is mightier than George Washington.
