While I am in favor of legalizing it, two things pop out:
1. If legalizing pot really is an "oct surprise" to the point that it turns the election towards Obama, either the country is doing better than I thought, or people in the country really have priorities screwed up. I realize libertarians think it is a huge priority, but I can think of things more important than legal pot.
2. One of the most common arguments for any drug legalization is that the illegality drives up prices and profits and leads to organized crime. Tax pot too much and the black market does not go away.

As long as no morons get up in front of a bunch of people and say "the fundamentals of the economy are sound!" then there should not be any surprises in October at all.

Obama and Romney already agree on Romney-care. Obama just wants it bigger and better.

Back to OP. So the Obama Administration is now telling Justice and DHS that they do not have to enforce certain laws anymore because Obama doesn't like the law.
OKAY then. I would take that to mean the we do not have to obey certain laws if we don't like the law.
