I think you might have hit on something hear gunner. Progressive liberals must be holding in too many of their farts. Socialism throughout history has never worked. Yet the modern progressive liberals seemed to believe that they are the ones that have the knowledge to make it work. In the end once great nations are destroyed, the people loose their freedom and the leadership lines their pockets with the peoples wealth. Those that remain, after the leadership has escaped to exile with the peoples wealth, some how pull them selves together and rebuild their nation and the cycle starts again.

I very much want to agree with both of the previous posts. However, the fight may already be lost. Half of those under 30 can see nothing wrong with any variation of Marxism. Our schools have not heen teaching real history or economics for a long time. Too many think that compassion is having someone else pay their bills.

I concur, most of the youth is on some type of ADD medication, most of the adults are addicted to sports..they can name the 1972 dodger lineup, but can't name the 2012 secretary of state...seriously, most cant even name the 3 branches of government.
On the plus side, we don't need everybody...a dedicated minority (10-20%) can easily beat back this monster

I have this thing I do at work to help improve the knowledge level of my subordinates...

I will write a different Amendment on our dry erase board each week or couple of days, or I'll write a quote from one of our Founders and who ever can tell me what it is and what it means get an extra half hour for lunch that day, or even go home early.

It's a bit sad how many have NO clue what I write, but they'll learn or not get the benifits I can give. What's even worse is we're USAF.

Most of my peers and subordinates think I'm weird for knowing what I know, and not knowing why people in US Weekly are "famous".

A socialist is someone who feels they owe a great debt to society, such debt they want to pay with your money.

In reply to gunner bob: I think you are very fortunate to have subordinates who can read above a fifth grade level. It takes at least this level of reading skills to comprehend the Constitution. The average high school grad only scores at the fifth grade level on standardized tests.
