Ugh, election season. Mountains will soon be reduced back to mole hills. Romney should focus on fairtax reform and the size of the debt and how he will fix it. He will win easily. But he won't do that.

Although several small business owners have already taken the time to correct President Obama for his infamous “You Didn’t Build That” speech, none of them have done it with the bluntness of this this one lumberyard owner.
“I built this business without gov’t help. Obama can Kiss my ass [emphasis added],” reads a sign outside Gaster Lumber & Hardware in Savannah, Ga.
Owner Ray Gaster decided to put signs with similar messages at all three of his company’s locations after he heard President Obama’s Roanoke, Va., speech. A former Vietnam veteran, Gaster told FoxNews.com he built his now 28-year-old business from the ground up — without ever relying on the generosity of government.
“I started on my own,” Gaster said. “The government wasn’t there. We work long, hard hours and what he said is an insult to any businessman.”

Between the quotes taken out of context (on both sides) and the fact that people do not realize that the highway system, education system, power grid, subsidies, trade regs and tariffs, etc. support such efforts, the stupid epidemic is in full swing. Go build it in Antarctica or Afghanistan to see what "all by myself" means. Yes it would not have happened without individual initiative and perseverance, but to think that one could have succeeded without the support system that is "we the people" and in structure and infrastructure our joint efforts provide is simply hubris.
"A stupid man's report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand."Bertrand Russell
His speech wasn't taken out of context. He told us how he really feels about the public sector and socialism. "You didn't build it" simply means we are all part of the collective and without the collective nothing can happen. Individualism doesn't work with socialism. Everyone has to be at the same level. Only the rich ruling class has the money. Only the rich ruling class knows what's best for the us comrades. I'm waiting for his "you didn't do that" Olympics metal winners speech. You liberals just can't stand individual success.
"You can get a lot accomplished if you don't care who gets the credit" - Ronald Reagan
Not only did private companies build it they paid for it. The government builds roads and other infrastructure paid for by our taxes. The presidents point of view has no leg to stand on.

Olaw you must not have gotten the memo that the Reeps just made this ad up by taking it all out of context. It did not pass any of the fact checking tests. Read on.
Obama's statement was stupid and very transparent. He was trying to minimize property and business ownership, two of the main roots that this country was built upon. If you didn't build the business yourself, you don't have a claim on the profits...which makes it OK for the government to confiscate them.
Cars were not originally built to run on the roads built by the government. Roads were built to accommodate the cars. The first macadam and corduroy roads were built to accommodate trade, not the other way around.
Not a penny was ever spent on any "infrastructure" in this country before that penny was first confiscated from a business or individual. The reason that Afghanistan is the way it is is due to the corrupt government confiscating the money and then putting it into their own pockets. Please don't drink the Kool-aid Sarge, that's the way they want you to think.
The concept is pure and simple Marxism, and people buying into it at all shows how far we have come towards becoming a Marxist nation.
