Exclamation McCain finally straps on a pair!

He has been finally gnashing his teeth into Obama-nation.

I actually was impressed with the RNC newsletter sent out yesterday. I would have prefered he siad this at the beginning of the letter than saving it for the last P.S. note:

P.S. My friends, it's clear Senator Obama was driven to his position on the War in Iraq by his ideology and not by the facts on the ground. He does not have the knowledge or experience to make the judgments necessary to keep our Nation safe, prosperous and strong. Presidents have to listen and learn. Presidents have to make judgments no matter how popular or unpopular they may be. I believe I am better prepared to make these judgments, leading our country as your next president...

I am not really a huge McCain fan but at this moment he is all the party has got that has a real chance of defeating Obama. If Bob Barr had a larger Libertarian machine ticking that had a real chance to beat Obama then I would say lets get behind him but I think the Bob Barr. As much as I would like to see a true conservative at the helm of our country, at his point Barr cannot beat Obama- he's no where on the radar screen anywhere. So we are left with McCain and we must do everything to beat this Left Wing Socialist Liberal Trash Demodummy candidate named Obama.

McCain is no less evil than Osama, or Hillary. I agree with your statement about Bob Barr, he is nowhere on the radar. But Ron Paul is a decent, true conservative that will defend the constitution. He has a better chance at winning the election at this point than Barr.

And Cooter that is exactly why he will never be President. It is unfortunate that both parties have been so infiltrated with NWO burocrates and the major news media is controlled by them that anyone that is not bought and paid for by the eastern establishment stands little chance of ever being elected.

Really? Because McCain might possibly make you do the standard bg check at gun shows (FL exempts CWP holders from this) which is at worst a slight inconvenience. It's not high on his list of priorities though. He has opposed every abortion bill ever proposed, and voted for every bill opposing abortion.

Obama would love to ban all guns, large and small. I can guarantee you that agenda item is very high on a long list. He'd like to impose universal carbon taxes, redistribute wealth with wild abandon, and whatever other heinous stuff he can come up with.

This election will be close - every amount of work is essential. Support McCain, and life definitely won't get any worse. Sit it out, and you'll be paying reparations and having to say the Pledge Allegiance to Mindless Tolerance in 3 years.

I participated in a pogram today at my University and met with a guy whose spouse is a manager within the Obama campaign. Apparently the Obama that she began with is not the same Obama today and she has grown to dislike him immensley for the way he treats those at the bottom of the campaign totem pole. He said his spouse said if the way he treats his people in the campaign is any indication of how he plans to run the country then the common everyday Joe is going to learn that he really is an elitest and has no plan whatsoever of how he is going to implement most of what he is proposing he will do as President. She also told him that Obama's inexpereince is really starting to come through loud and clear.

This will likely be the last election year that I will register as a Republican. I have loved the Republican party from as far back as I was able to vote. As a young African American man I fell in love with the values that my party represented for more than 100 years... today I am so very disappointed in what it has come to.

I will be resgistering as a Libertarian going forward

As middle aged English America I have to agree with you. When the third party becomes a player we will not throwing our vote away.

Yes, and I think as time goes on, his lack of ability will overshadow his ultra-populist sheen.

Personally I hope Obama gets the nomination. I don't believe it will take him all that long to step all over his schwanzstükker in a most unflattering way, and that will be that.

And I, too, may take the Libertarian road. If only they'd come up with SOME kind of viable candidate!

Default Dreams can come true -- but when

Libertarians need to start recruiting year round and establish policy positions that voters can relate to. But, this can only be done with paid ads because the national media will ignore them at every turn. Voters who are affiliated with both parties have had their fill of the one party that goes by two names. Congress legislates for the highest bidder. We need to get their attention and tell them that they've been found out and that it would be a good idea to keep a bag packed for when they get voted out of office.
