Default Barack Obama is ridiculous

Ok, I'd be voting for the Republican anyway, but at least in the past I've always been able to perceive the opposition as an adult. Obama seems too much like a kid. Moreover, I get the general feeling that he's trying to charm everyone with his juvenile antics.

Hope...prosperity...some kind of totally unfounded nebulous, vaporous bunch of "it's all a new age" crap. This reminds me of the original commercial for Windows XP.

Could this guy come back in another 10, maybe 20 years or so and try again? Right now, he just seems like a total fool.

You're right. George Bush is always a model of decorum:

Barack Obama is ridiculous
But what is more ridculous is the fact that so many Americans would vote for him. Beam me up Scotty there is no intelligent life down here.

Yeah, so Bush hasn't been particularly impressive either, but I was hoping that we as a nation could do better this time around - with both candidates.

As an opposition candidate, I kind of liked Al Gore's image...he was a bit stiff, to be sure - but that's not a bad thing. This isn't a breakdance competition. Despite his weirdness, I also liked Perot's numbers-and-charts approach to things (mostly fiscal issues).

I want my president (whoever they are) to be analytical, organized and good at handling the business of their office. They should have sound judgment, a good knowledge of history and not be either a blusterer (Bush) or a pansy (McGovern). Their ability to fit into a frat party should be a much lower priority.

I'd add: a staunch supporter of the Constitution. Don't you hate it when the two of us agree on something?

Well anything has got to be better than your current president the W. Now you have Mcbush running who is just a clone and a continuation of what is and what is to come. No insurance for low income family's, further into recession, A war for maybe another 100 years that we are paying biillions for a month in tax dollars, a guy who voted 89 percent of the time with the bush administration, more coruption, easier life for the rich and a harder life for the average joe like me that makes less than 30k a year. Sorry a maverick who claims to be conservative is not the answer for america. I forgot to metion above the highest jobless rate in 40 years probally and making our national deficit more and more.

You've got the democratic topics down pretty well--now take them somewhere you might be able to convince somebody to vote for that rights-hating morally disgusting party.

That sounds like a bunch of socialist BS to me.

My main problem with GWB is that he spends money like there's some endless pile of cash he can just pull dollars out of with no consequences. Also, he seems completely unable to control members of his administration.

I think that McCain will either divide Iraq up and let the tribes rule it, or launch a final offensive, declare victory and then leave. Whatever happens then is not our business.

I think I'd rather have a "3rd Bush Term", as B. Hussein claims than a regressive backslide to a 2nd Carter administration.
