| I like Palin, more than I like McCain, but I still won't vote for him. It's too bad she's not the presidential candidate. Maybe eight years from now (if McCain is still alive that is ) she'll be the nominee. I would definitely vote for her then. As for the idea that McCain picked her to pick up the women's vote that seemingly has abandoned Obama, I don't think so. I seriously doubt that the Hillary voters who seem bitter about her not getting the nomination are angry enough to vote for someone who will appoint judges who'll overturn Roe v. Wade. I similarly doubt that these same voters are excited about Palin being McCain's VP pick; she is pro life, pro gun, and pro everything that Hillary's voters are against. By the way, I totally did not see this one coming. McCain can now kiss his chances of winning Michigan goodbye (because having Romney on the ticket could have helped him carry it). As it now stands, both VP picks are from states that are safe for each party (not that a VP has ever helped a presidential candidate carry a state, though). |

| As I have said before I am no big McCane fan. If I thought it were possable to elect a third party candidate I would most assuredly vote for them, but sticking with reality I will be casting my vote not so much for McCane but against Obama.

| I watched a little of the convention last week. What a bunch of fruit cakes. McCane's pick for V.P was a breath of fresh air after all those nuts.

| Not too long ago in Mass politics, one candidate was dogging another candidate about a certain issue, later that first candidate running partner was found out to have the same issues that his/her running partner was dogging the other candidate about, it came back to haunt him/her, causing him/her to lose. At almost the start of this presidential election, the Republicans has been dogging Obama, about being not qualified, not enough years in his position. Now McCain picks someone with little experience, now the Repubs can't answer when dogged about what little experience Palin has. Living in a Demo state this is the talk of McCains pic. I'm still voting Repub. tho. |

| Palin was a pick that will neither help nor hurt in my opinion. I don't think she will get many women voters like they are hoping to do. She might get a few of the women that care nothing about issues and will only be voting for a woman because she is a woman but it won't matter. She stands for some good stuff though. Obviously she stands for the same old MCbush stuff since he picked her.I hate to see a nice lady of integrity get hooked up with the crook mccain and bush and cheney. God help her. I think John only met her one time before he met her at the vp announcment. thats strange. In the end Obama will be the victor. |
