My wife is a physician - she dropped her AMA membership years ago - the AMA is highly political (leftist) and didn't reflect her priorities. This is just another example.

I have worked with numerous physicians that regularly carry handguns. Whether or not they carry at work........we'll let the bad guys find out if they want.

I work w/ a group of docs that is split down the middle.

Actually, .... the one I worked w/ the other nite used to carry until they changed some wording in the laws. So now he doesn't .... for now. I told him the details of my class, and he should be signing up soon.

As far as physicians go, from what I gather is that just like everyone else, depending on thier life's course, is what determines thier stance on guns.

Some have valid points and reasons - inner city jobs dealing w/ lots of children w/ gsw's. I don't deny that, but still, if everyone was taught safety at a young age we would not be in this predicament as deep.

Be careful they don't come after you Doc.

I will never join AARP for that very reason, and if my DR ever askes about my guns, he is gone too.

As several of us have pointed out all physicians are not in favor of gun control. Here is a link I found on the NRA website that is promising. I just wish more physicians were involved. Maybe we can make it a more known organization.

I like to wear shirts that support guns to the doctors office. I can change doctors like changing shirts.
