Its definately in his top 5. Time will tell, but I believe the nay-sayers are going to be eating crow.
I think gun control is on Obama's agenda, but there are lots of other things on there as well and only so much time. My GUESS is he and his cronies are going to be busy effing up the economy for a while and trying to get us on the road to socialism.
He has another problem in that there are a significant number of Democrats who are not members of the communist party yet, the Blue Dog Dems who actually still love America, so it isn't clear to me he has the votes for the really radical stuff he wants yet. The flip side of that is that we have plenty of 'Go-Along-Get-Along' RINOs who might make up for the Blue Dogs.
The Congressional Commiecrats like Schumer and Pelosi will try but the past two years pretty well show they aren't capable of actually getting anything done, good or bad.
Time will tell.

Why would God invent something like whiskey? To keep the Irish from ruling the world of course.
Red Hat, while I agree the way it stands now it deals with assault weapons. All that would have to happen is to place another clause dealing with semi-automatic weapons in the bill. Remember Obama has supported a ban on them before. This would effectively eliminate 1911 type pistols and any other firearm that self chambered a round. The SCOTUS decision did leave an opening for this type ban. It wouldn't completely remove your ability to own a firearm for defense.

Sorry to disagree with you but with complete control of the LEGISLATIVE AND EXECUTIVE branches of the government, SCOTUS control is MOOT...
The Obama, Reid, and Pelosi Trifecta, can get the constitution ratified and there is not a DAMM thing the SCOTUS can do about it...
Or any stinking firearms ban they want to run down our throats…
As they are there to interpret the constitution... if the second amendment is abolished; there is nothing to interpret...
No case...
SCOTUS can only interpret laws currently in the constitution...
And they have no power to overstep the duly elected legislative branch of the government...
What you can expect is at the very least in the first quarter of 2009, is the most wide-sweeping gun ban in U.S. history…
All handguns…
Anything that can chamber a .50bmg, or other .50 cal round
Any magnum round or firearm capable of firing one...
Any rifle with a magazine or a sling, detachable, collapsible, folding stocks, forearms., etc…
All full-autos, with no exceptions…
All semi-autos, with no exceptions…
Any shotgun that holds more then 3 rounds…
Any firearm that is black…
All lead ammunition…
Any projectile capable of piercing a leather jacket or cardboard box…
Abolishment of the right to carry open or concealed...
Any firearm that does not micro stamp the case and projectile it fires...
We are all at fault for not doing enough to educate our fellow citizens on the facts about the Messiah, instead of allowing them to drink his kool-aid...
McCain-Palin was the only thing standing between the gun-grabbing liberal senate and house majority and our second amendment rights as written and intended by our forefathers; whom are probably rolling over in their graves…

I agree that can happen if they can get a repeal of the 2A ratified. I don't think they can get 38 states to go along with it.

Fortunately making a change to the Constitution isn't quite that simple. It would have to be ratified by 3/4 of the states and I don't think that many would go for it. However, undermining the 2A is a different situation. The SCOTUS decision still makes it possible for an AWB that would eliminate all semi-automatic weapons. You could still own guns but it would only be revolvers, bolt and pump actions.
Wishful thinking brother...
Don't kid yourself; getting anything ratified by 3/4 of the states after Tuesday will be a walk in the park... nearly everybody nationwide with a (R) after their name got marked for retribution whether they deserved it or not...
There are NOW more Antis then Pros...
ITS WORSE THEN EVERYBODY IS LETTING ON...
You can count on one hand how many democrats support the second amendment...
The dems can get anything through the house without a single republican or independent vote...
They also have a such a majority in the senate the only thing the republicans can do is filibuster...
ANYTHING that gets to the Messiah's desk will be signed...
Amnesty, Global Poverty Tax, Abolishment of the second amendment...
Obama will be Reid and Pelosi's puppet...
Besides the fact that even the 16th amendment (IRS/BATFE) got imposed upon us without a ratification by the states...
TIME FOR A REVOLUTION
Let me see if I understand what you are saying -- are you saying the people of the United States of American should relvolt against the elected President?? If so I think you need to find another place to take this. I do not support a revolution... Don't know what others think but saying we should start a revolution is going just a little too far..
