Erica Jong and Michael Chabon = Susan Sontag and Norman Mailer
We can now rest easy folks. The great lefty intellectuals have spoken and our future is explained.
The hubris and arrogance of these people is amazing. If we, as a 'collective' group, don't see the wisdom of their position we are completely out of touch with the requirements of the world they need to build. It is inconceivable to these people that they could be wrong. They are the reason we are headed to trouble. The sense of entitlement and a desire to reward sloth, indolence, hatred, and laziness in groups they perceive as worthy of special consideration must be correct--to disagree is to deserve all the mistreatments they blame their foes use.
Folks, we are headed for trouble. I've not personally heard, but been told by people I trust that certain 'community organizers' are threatening civil unrest if the election doesn't go their way. That we have certain communities that riot (rowdy celebrations?) when the local team wins is well known. We can expect these 'free shoppers' to celebrate by redistributing a bit of wealth if their candidate wins.
I'm staying home Tuesday night--and I'm keeping a close eye on what I'll be doing Wednesday.

People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.--River Tam
