We need to stay on top of this and write our reps as required. We can't let them forget what happened the last time they voted in restrictive gun laws and were all but voted out of office.

Thats correct. I posted this to show people on our board that people are already beginning to organize.
The only way to defend our freedoms is to stay aware and fight for them.
Everyone in the gun community should be banding together to show a united front.
Writing to our reps is a good start, but only if the reps to whom we write are dedicated gun rights activists. If Nancy Pelosi is your representative or Charles Schumer your senator, you'd be better off joining and actively participating in a gun rights organization such as GOA or the NRA.
Along with our letters, we need to begin working to strengthen the conservative influences at our local and state levels. At this level, we can influence the Legislators, the delegates to the Conventions, and the Electors.
What they're coming up with is a great idea, but it's going to flounder without effective leadership. There needs to be a conference between the heads of various groups, a new site set up, and enough organizational structure to make things work well. It needs to be a citizens' grassroots gun rights organization - different from NRA, more focused on participation and less on administration and self-love.
As everyone else has said, I'd also be willing to help with something like this.
