Nine months later...
Is everyone happier now? Huh? HUH?
NOBODY to vote for (worth voting for)...
What a sad state of affairs. :(
Let's start over, this didn't turn out good at all for the country.
At times like this, it is voting for the lessor of two evils. McCain is the lessor, but not by much. :(
If it were just about guns... ah, that is easy. Obama is against everything we believe in, and it is getting to close for comfort with just a few days left. The country sure does NOT need him.
I like Separatist, Isolationist Ron Paul?
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house;by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith Heb.11:7
I agree McCain is not ideal; but he is exponentially better then Gun Ban Obama...
http://gunbanobama.com/
One thing that makes McCain much more palpable is Governor Sarah Palin!
She is like a female Governor Mike Huckabee!
She waxed (I Wrote the original Clinton Assault Weapons Ban) Senator Joe "Gun Grabbing" Biden soundly last night in their debate...
the Biden Gaff machine did not disappoint...
Governor Palin has a Perfect record supporting the Second Amendment, life time hunter, firearm collector... A rated by the NRA and GOA!
Governor Palin is a proven reformer, whom went after members of her own party to make the right kind of change...
http://rightchange.com/
Plus she has experience as a City Council Woman, Mayor, Energy Commissioner, Governor and small business owner...
Heck she has more executive experience then anybody on either ticket!
Further, both Biden and Obama have only been Senators; and have not even run a grocery store and do not even have managerial experience; let alone ANY EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE!
McCain does not have defacto executive experience either; but he has been a member of both the House and Senate and commanded the largest air wing in the Navy and has served his country longer then Obama has been alive! Moreover, McCain has shown his true character better then anybody could; when as a son and grandson of two 4 star Navy Admirals he was offered early release from the Hanoi Hilton prison camp in Vietnam...
AND REFUSED!
Obama has never authored a single piece of legislation; McCain has been a part of every major piece of U.S. legislation in the last 20+ years...
Without a doubt I do not agree with McCain on everything, heck almost anything; but he has earned the title Maverick and proven reformer and has a record of crossing party lines to get things done; neither Obama nor Biden have EVER CROSSED PARTY LINES...
Check Biden's record; his is 30 years of Obama's record...
Biden voted against the confirmation of 2 of the 5 Supreme Court Justices that stood up for the Second Amendment...
Both Biden and Obama refused to sign and submit briefs in support of Parker-Heller...
McCain FILED HIS BRIEF IN SUPPORT OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT!
I think Governor Palin is the single person on either ticket that most represents the Average American and their values...
Having Palin on the ticket gives me real HOPE, that once McCain is out we will have a President that we can agree with on the majority of issues...
In the words of Hillary Clinton... "John McCain would bring a lifetime of experience to the office of the President, I would bring a lifetime of experience; Barack would bring a speech he wrote in 2002".
In the words of Joe Biden, Obama's running mate... "The Office of the President does not lend itself to on the job training" and when asked directly in a democratic debate Joe Biden reaffirmed it!
You might support Obama IF:
http://www.youmightsupportobamaif.com/index.htm
If you fail to vote for McCain-Palin or you do not vote; YOU ARE VOTING FOR Obama-Biden...
Remember, how we ended up with Slick-Willie Clinton!
Ross Perot took 15% of the vote which gave the election to Slick-Willie...
If people had not voted 3rd party in that election the first Bush would have won; and we would not have had the largest gun bans in u.s. history, and there would have been no 911... to say the least...

Montana, May I suggest that you start a new thread "Who do you like for president in 2012?![]()
Conservative Wife & Mom -- I'm a Conservative Christian-American with dual citizenship...the Kingdom of God is my 1st home and the U.S.A. is my 2nd.
we should probably start a 2012 thread ...
but I will respond to your suggestions...
Other then the following, I am pretty much in agreement with you...
- I am all for U.S. based alternative fuels as long as it does not prohibit us from using the fossil fuels we still have yet to utilize here in the U.S.
- I am adamantly opposed to your statement on #1 the founding fathers setup the Electoral College with great forethought; like everything else they did; it is as much valid today as it was then in my view... (do we really want 47 million illegal aliens granted amnesty by the Socialist in chief and company to see that they are re-elected in a landslide? We are a Republic, not a Democracy as we have been mislead to believe... a Democracy is essentially mob/majority rule...
IF for instance we have democratic majority's in congress like we do now; do we really want the same guys putting Gun Banning Sonia Sotomayor on the Supreme Court picking our U.S. Senators?
- I am also opposed to your suggestion to repealing the 17th amendment...
That's kind of like having the fox guard the hen house...
- On Social Security and all the stinking unconstitutional entitlement programs; I think they should be abolished period...
While the Socialist in Chief Obama & Company are telling us we are 13 Trillion and counting in debt; We are actually currently 121 Trillion and counting in debt; they are intentionally not telling us about the 109 Trillion with a T and counting we are in the hole on entitlement programs; and the fact is we don't have the money for even those of us that already paid in...
They do not want to be the ones that have to tell us THE GOVERNMENT SCREWED YOU... So they are shoving it under the rug...
Its only a matter of time before the Fed has to say... (and we will live to see it, sooner rather then later...)
We are sorry, WE ALREADY SPENT YOUR MONEY AND THERE IS NONE LEFT...
This 108 Trillion Consists 100% of:
Social Security
Medicare
Medicaid
U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time
We cannot keep spending money we do not have, and charging it to our grandchildren & great-grandchildren...
Generational Debt, is Generational Theft...
WTFU SHEEPLE !
Take back the Republic !
Fire Congress in November 2010 and Gun Ban Obama & Company in 2012
No RINO's...
No Democrats..
No Liberals...
No Socialists, Marxists, Communists...

The term racism has absolutely no meaning to anyone at all anymore; once again you prove my point. I suspect you also voted for BHO. And OJ is innocent!! The fact that you identify yourself as African American also proves my point. (Instead of a BlacK AMERICAN) I see nothing derogatory about Ron Paul’s statements. Simply stating the facts. The old double standard. Get over it.

Could we get someover here?
Don't retreat. Just reload.
I am going to ask Luke to close this one...
I am open to somebody else opening a applicable 2012 Thread, but at this point in time in my view our only focus should be returning the U.S. Congress back to the people in November 2010, after November 2010 we can focus on whose viable and whose not...
In regards to the flame on doublenutz I suggest you take it offline via pm and start with an apology to my fellow Marine who is no fan of Obama...

Those are good points and they have given me pause for thought. I am not one locked into only my views and I appreciate your comments. I agree with your argument against the first point. We don't need to be changing what the Founding Fathers have established. However on repeal of the 17th amendment, refer to Section 3 Article 1 of the Constitution. The founding fathers DID want the state legislatures to appoint senators. The idea was that the senators would work for the people, not special interest groups as they do now. The 17th amendment was enacted during the administration of the socialist , Woodrow Wilson, and the intent of the 17th amendment was to neuter the power of the states and centralize power with the Federal government. Just for example, do you think that the senators from Montana would have supported Obama's health care plan if they knew they were dependent on reappointment by the state legislature? The citizens would be screaming for either their recall or demanding that they not be reappointed. If the legislature failed to listen to the people, then they would risk their own re-election.
When I suggested privatization of Social Security, that was probably bad wording. I am for eliminating social security, but requiring that every employee contribute 10% of their total income into a retirement plan offered by their employer or through their own financial retirement plan. I don't want older Americans to be dependent on tax payers because they didn't plan that they would one day need or want to retire. But the government should not be the "owner" of a person's retirement plan.
You made no comment on the flat tax, but I wanted to expand my thoughts on that topic. Can you imagine the economic boom to this country if we eliminated the income tax, abolished the IRS, and then said that every item purchased in this country would have a flat sales tax of 10%? We would immediately tax drug dealers, illegal aliens, corporations, and even vacationers from other countries. Unfortunately, we have the tax whores who make a living off of the current system. It is about power and control, not what is best for the country. Sad situation.
