NJ.... Have you heard why they have the most toxic waste dumps, and FL has the most lawyers?

    NJ had first choice.

It's a little misleading....since it's an overall average, it doesn't take into account the localities. It says TN median tax is $704....I paid $3000 last year on a $175K house. Memphis is ridiculously high.

    Default Nevada taxation

Taxes aren't too bad here in NV, no state income tax, every once in a while some jackhole will raise that issue and quickly loose their seat. Casinos (read that tourists) pay alot too.

I live in CA and travel to AZ. I can't stand CCWing in Arizona. You can not CCW in any restaurant that servers beer, wine etc. That means IHOP only!

I guess things vary greatly by locality. I paid as much for a small townhome in Birmingham that I pay for 6 acres and a larger home in rural TN. Part of this is my land is considered farm land and has a lower tax rate. Sorry you others guys have to pay so much.
